My ears are ringing all the time - I almost don't hear it sometimes because it's so constant. It's terrible.
I take Wellbutrin XL, Adderall (regular), Atenolol.
What's happening?? It's driving me crazy!!!

Hi:
When I started WB sr, I recall now that I had 'ear ringing' problem. However, after awhile,... probably 2-3 wks after taking WB sr, ear-ringings started to subside, ... but this happened 'very gradually.'
Then, if your problem, 'ear-ringing' does not get any better, you may need to lower down WB. Or, other problem might lie on 'the combination of med.' that has three different form of med. which might NOT be a good combo. in your system.
You need to talk to your pdoc. soon.

Hi:
There is NOT only Wellbutrin SR makes 'Ringing Ears,' ... also, ... in my recollection, when I started on Lithium, there was 'Ringing Ears' problem, not as significant as on W.B. Then, in my guess, those psycho.-med. working GOOD on the chemicals of your brain, ... but in turn, it might have 'too much' activating effects on the nerves, as there are many 'nervous systems' inside ears(but, I can NOT be sure, because some of anatomy/physiology in my study, I just NOT able to remember so clearly now, ...).
Anyhow, this, 'ringing ears' seems to have relation to 'nervous systems' or 'muscular system' surrounding the region where the 'ringing' originates.
Sorry, ... not able to explain about this as I want to. It sounds like ending up a lot of guessing work, but some are true from my study- days.

It's called Tinnitus. There's really no cure for it but alot of the times it's contributed to some type of medication. Good Luck (can you hear me now??) Sorry, couldn't resist!! SMILE :-)

> What's happening?? It's driving me crazy!!!Lots of drugs can cause it especially if it's an underlying problem. My tinnutus problem only becomes annoying when it's really quiet, which is when I lay down to sleep. Having a fan or radio on makes enough noise to mask it for me.
Cheers,
Panda.

your ears ringing can also be a sign of high blood pressure. you might want to get that checked out--one of the meds you're on might be raising it to unhealthy levels.
