Just needing to vent - new meds guy on great recommendation. He ups me from 150 SR to 200 XL and gives me some samples till the real thing gets sent me from my insurance place. My new meds are 200SR. not xl (which is what the samples were) should this be a concern? On top of all this i'm on antibiotics for the moment and thinking they might be the reason for the tiredness and upset stomache. I'm sure all will be fine but at the moment i just want to curl into a lump under my blankets and cry myself to sleep. Also, is it ok to take 200 mgs at once? I thought above 150 mgs of wellbutrin isn't good to take all at once - seizures and all that. Am i just worried over nothing? (I'm good at that - it's a talent i've cultivated) -horridmonster

----------Are you sure it's 200mg? I didn't think they made anything other than 150 and 300 in the XL.
Anyway, I wouldn't worry about a siezure. The likelihood af having one is increased only marginally (a 0.4% chance at 400mg instead of a 0.1% chance without). The only likely adverse effect gleaned from their studies (>10%) was headache.

Could *definitely* be the reason for upset stomach.

Wellbutrin XL only comes in 150mg and 300mg tablets.

I go to the pill for details: it is larger than my 150 and pink, not purple. it says wellbutrin sr 200.
I gather it's new and the trial ones were EXACTLY the same except they said xl. However i don't have the old label to look on.Here's hoping the exhaustion is a side effect that will go away soon. -horridmonster

-------Those are the "sustained release" variety, meant for twice daily dosing. The XL are "extended release," meant for once daily dosing. There was also the original Wellbutrin meant for thrice daily dosing.

-------Most of the side effects I've encountered dissapated within a couple of weeks.
