It is a stress fracture. Don't know how I did it. I take Metamucil daily, even before all this medication. Maybe I need to take more? Thanks for your kind thoughts.

B complex is good for PMS symptoms like weight gain, cravings and bloating. Take it about a week before your period and maybe it will help. I find some months it does, some it doesn't.

gotta judge whether we're getting proper (in computer terminology) 'throughput' to judge if constipation is still an issue and if you want to increase our metamucil .... or so i'd guess anyway.
in these regards i'd encourage more fresh fruit(s)....(mmmmmm, Apples...) ... and lots of water and fruit juice(s) and .... did i mention water?stress fracture of unknown origins ....(?) .... a mystery! .... and rather poetic/symbolic ?
just exactly how Much pressure have you been 'under' lately, anyway? (grin)well, the sympathies and concern are just the same from here .... could we qualify for any good pain medicine(s)? ... maybe? (with lots more water!)(ha!)
ms dys, i have been reading your posts (along with those some select group of our long-time posters) and besides coming to have a great appreciation for your knowledge, insights and humor, i have become, well .... fond of you, so my kind thoughts for you come to me naturally.... it is the least i can do ... because you (and others here also) have done so much for me.

>OK DC, you win this round because I have not been to the other beaches. Went to key west a few years ago for a wedding and got to say it was a very intersting place. It was a beautiful sight as we made our SLOW drive throught the keys. I always stay at the quietest part of the beach. Like you, I like it quiet as possible to relax!!! TAKE CARE!!!!!!!!

so did the SE of itching go away for you?cos im tempted to quit lexapro altogether,the rash is really sore,its a pain in the ass!or rather,the forehead,i mean its a bit of a headwreck to already be depressed,then have your self esteem dragged down even further by a frigging rash!!! but if that side effect does really go away after 2weeks,i reckon i could put up with it.ive got a good feeling about lexapro,better than prozac anyhoo!

Also used to be a big Spring Break destination. I agree that there are much nicer beaches. The prettiest ( WHITE sand ) are in the panhandle, and Clearwater is nice too, just a lot more "touristy".

I scratched mine and that was a huge mistake!! Little bumps all over my back and I couldn't see, and I have FINGERNAILS, I was a scabby mess, but I'm fine now and rash is long gone.

into realizing that my brain is playing a bigger
role than what I maybe realized at the beginning!Still feeling tired during the day, and every
few days- I'll sack out during the day. Don't
know where this is coming from!At a standstill with my weight. I'm fine with
this too- especially when you meet your husband
at work, and get honked at with him in the car!

Ok, I won't bring up FL again LOL. But, I have
noticed that I am so much more tired during the
day lately. I am thinking about changing the time
that I take the Lexapro. Hopefully if I change
from taking just prior to work and when I get home
instead, this will cease the tiredness problem.
Some days I feel like I am going to need toothpicks
under my eye lids to keep them open. Today being
one of those days.As for counseling, it was suggested by my psychiatrist
that I should go and "talk" to someone. He gave me
the number to a psychologist, but I just haven't been
able to make the call. I "talked" to someone a few
times in Lauderdale and just pretty much quit going
cold turkey. I feel like a total idiot going and "talking"
with a complete stanger and never usually reveal enough
that might help locate my "problems" and hopefully
correct them. Not to mention the whole social anxiety
issues I already posses and I am a better listener.
I know that I have major issues with getting close
to anyone and can't even begin to to tell you how
low my self-esteem is. Even though I get asked all
the time how can my self-esteem be so low? But, quite
honestly I just can't stand hardly anything about
myself. Anyhow, any suggestions on how to go about
starting to go and see someone to "talk" to and to
make the experience easier to handle?Ok, rambled on enough. Always been easier for me to

I have had the same problem with being extremely tired
during the day since going from 10mg to 20mg of Lexapro.
I have ambien for sleep also, but I am thinking of
taking the Lexapro after work instead of taking it in
the morning. As for the stomach upsets and headaches
can't say that I have experienced those. The headaches
I know are from coworkers and not the medication LOL.

Isn't it ironic that the very conditions that can be helped very effectively by psychotherapy are the ones that make going to see a therapist difficult?
I have one suggestion that I used frequently. If you write more clearly than you speak, as I do, perhaps it would help to write things down and bring them with you. My therapist would generally make me read them aloud, but he was patient.
Have you looked into cognitive behavior therapy? If the idea of "talking" out your problems is troublesome to you, you might prefer the CBT approach which is very logical and action oriented.

I'm new to this board. I've been reading it for a while but this is the first time I've posted anything. My psychiatrist (pdoc?) just started me on Lexapro, and I'm in my third day. The first day I took 10mg, but that left me feeling So terrible, nauseous, out of it that I cut back to 5mgs the second day. I felt better, but this morning woke up with awful stomach cramps and diarrhea. I've also been having jaw clenching and muscle cramps.
Also, I'm taking it for anxiety and depression, and right now my anxiety is about 10 times worse than when I started.
Did anybody else out there suffer such severe side effects when you started Lexapro? If so, how long did they last, and did the drug end up helping you or not?
I'm trying to decide if I should call my pdoc (I'm getting the lingo down) and ask for something extra for the anxiety, but I feel almost too anxious to call him up. I used to be afraid to make phone calls, and that seems to have come back suddenly. I'd like to just wait it out, but I'm a college student with finals this week, and I don't know what to do. I feel totally incapacitated, sick, scared, UGH.
Sorry this is so long. Please, if anybody can offer me any comfort or advise, I'll be forever greatful. You all seem like such good friends and so supportive, I'd love to be part of your community.

> JanaHi Jana, cutting back to 5 mg is not a bad idea. In fact I feel you should have started there. Try to hang in there if you can and see if the 5mg makes a difference over the next couple of days. Most side effects go away with time. I know you have a lot going on with school. A benxo such as xanax or klonopin may help but you dont want to take to much or get hooked on them. It would be good though if you called your doc and let them know what is going on. Good luck in school and hope it all works for you. TAKE CARE!!!!!!!!!

He was then out of the office until monday, so I ended up going to urgent care (which i found terribly embaracing) to beg for some anxiety drug until i can see my doctor on monday. and HURRAY he gave me a drug called Ativan which i'd never heard of, but love already. 20 minutes after i took the itty-bitty pill i felt better than i have in months. so anyway, when i go back to the pdoc, i will insist that i have something like ativan to help me out when i resume trying antidepressants.
oh, and i found a resource online that says that Lexapro can react badly with Prilosec. apparently my pdoc didn't know that, but i wonder if that's why i reacted so badly. i take prilosec daily for GERD.
i'd still like to hear about other experiences with Lexapro, especially the initial side effects you had and when they went away. i haven't totally given up on trying this drug again, but i do feel cautious about it.

Paxil wore me out, tapered over two months and was placed on Wellbutrin. Now 12 days on Lexapro and wellbutrin and feel worse than ever. Depressed, angry, exhausted, feel like I have a wicked bad flu, sweat extensively every hour without fail, it wakes me at night.
Any help out there? I am on 10 mg daily
