Is there anybody out there knowing how high dosage is needed for bipolar II ?

Hi,
My pdoc recently attended a conference where they said some patients can get a benefit from Lamictal at as low as 50 mg.I think the "average" therapeutic dose is somewhere in the 150-200 range, though.

I currently take 400mg and I believe my pdoc said the top end should not go beyond 400mg. He also told me in the beginning as i was dosing up that some people do respond at the lower doses in that 50mg range. Lithium seems to make my Lamictal work better. Goodluck. mixedstates999@msn.com

Hi...
Litium is know to boost many antidepressant meds + Lamictal. This because it enhance many serotonergic system in the brain.

Hi All,
I am BPII and take 200 mg of Lamictal 2x day. I also suffer from Migraines so it acts as a migraine preventative as well.
My fiance is BPI and takes Lithium (1800 mg) and Lamictal (500 mg). His doc added the Lamictal when he started having dips into depression. It works really well for him.
