I don't recall having these terrible headaches when I took Prozac that I'm having with Sarafem. Is anyone else experiencing these, and when will they go away? I'm really on the fence about taking Sarafem, so any feedback users can give me is appreciated.

Chronic headaches are often treated with low-dose Elavil. I decided not to take that route and instead took Verapamil for the headaches--that worked well.

I had bad morning headaches for a while with Prozac, but they went away. I am prone to migraines. I would ask the doc what the difference is between Serafem and Prozac. There may be some little thing different, or it's just your system adapting; do you take it every day or certain eays of the month? I had morning headaches on Zoloft too for a while. My migraine med [Maxalt] took care of the headaches. Good luck.

I've also had headaches while taking Prozac, even at the very low dosage of 10 mgs per day. Actually, I'm having one of the worst headaches I've had in like a year today. I'm also dxed as a Migraineur with Aura (Classic Migraine) and have taken Verapamil in the past with *wonderful* results. For the last year or two I've been taking Amitriptyline (Elavil, currently at 100 mgs at bedtime) and that has done the job quite well until last night and today. Maybe I've got a sinus infection or something, because Amitriptyline has really provided superb relief.
Verapamil never failed in preventing my migraines, but I never took it while taking Prozac.
