No,no,no,hb,you have a long, long way to go before you "toe up" so let's get you crawling and then up on your feet before that happens. Your meds aren't working??? Or are you on the wrong meds??? How can we help??? We all care,hb,'cause you are a super guy with much more vim and vigor alloted to you in this life than you realize at present. Didn't someone tell you recently that you are 155 pounds of spring steel and sex appeal???? We're listening,hb.......

Here for you,

Thanks Judith. Your concern about me is a source of
continual amazement.

Ha, did not hear that line about
'spring steel & sex appeal', funny, but do not think
it was directed to me. Wish someone in particular
thought of me that way, cause hb is also heart-broken.

Meds-Gave up on them.
Counseling-Gave up on it, may go back.
Personal Affairs-Down the tubes
Employment-going, going, gone?
Social Interaction-Zilch
Financial Status-Horrors

Am having a tough go trying to work even part time,
I've lost what little interest I ever had in dealing
with the rat race & corporate politics, job is in
jeopardy.

I'm down, feeling lost again. My attitude is very poor.
Haven't been visiting PB because I'm finding it
difficult to comprehend the posts, and somehow I
feel like I'm not welcome here.

My disability insurance hasn't paid me a cent, this
since Feb. Used up my savings, can't get to my 401k
money. Mortgage company threatening to foreclose,
my credit is gone, poof, good credit beginning of
year, now could not borrow a dime. All because ONE
doc didnot respond to the insurance co. I had called
him at least once per week for months, office kept
telling me "he hates paper-work", "he's working on
it", which was all BS. It was a simple ONE PAGE
form.

I finally went to his office, 50 miles away, and
demanded to see him. Office people said he was too
busy & would get to my paper work as soon as he could.

Not good enuf. I told them I was not leaving the
office until I saw him & we completed the form.

I stood in front of the receptionist for over 3 hrs! I refused
to let other patients get in front of me, they had
to stand to the side to talk to her. Felt bad about
intimidating her because it was not her fault, but
it was my only recourse.

The doc, by in-house phone, told her to tell me that
he would call the police if I did not leave. I said fine,
and that then he would hear from my lawyer & to expect
a suit for damages and a complaint to AMA, ins co's,
State licensing, & whatever other orgs I could find.

I progressed to using slanderous tactics by speaking
loudly to any patient who would listen about the doc's
negligence and lack of professionalism. I showed other
patients the derogatory letter I had written to the
doc, detailing the repeated requests my ins co had made,
the dates I had called the doc, and the dire financial
consequences I have suffered because of his blase
attitude.

That brought the doc running to me. Some arguement
ensued, but it took us less than 10 minutes to do the
paperwork and fax it to the ins co.

He apologised, I called him an asshole, & I left.

Real fun day. I may sue him, anyone know if I have
grounds? Guess I will see my lawyer.

Sad thing is he's a good, knowledgable doc.

End of that tirade.

Anyway, that's where I am.

Thanks & take care
hb

Now,down to the nitty gritty here: also note, please, that you are elevated back to the capital state of name/initial...you have never been even near toed-up at all even though you feel in the depths of beyond for how could any fogged-out/in despair of nothingness person manage to hot foot it 50 miles down or up the road in order to confront an
indifferent and slower- than- slug doctor just as you have done?! You have accomplished this in the best and only way you could think of....THINK as in ACTION and RESULT. HarryB didn't wallow in listlessness;he took action.

As for the broken hearted HarryB,your time is right around the corner....

HB--Missed you

In reply to Re: me, posted by JudithC on July 21, 2000, at 12:52:19

HB:

I have missed you being a part of PB. I always like to read your posts, and what you have to say (whether up or down) makes sense to me. You help me by setting an example of steps to take. Really!

You handled the #^?*@! doctor who was screwing you over (that is a good story, by the way. Get them in the pocketbook and they come to attention!) You handled going back to work; making adjustments as needed; you are still there, even if feeling tenuous.

So, as it turns out, and what you may want to stubbornly deny, you are a good role model for me, and you have helped me, and you are important. And, I saw your picture and you are easy on the eyes. Better watch out about slinging those proposals around. Never know when some psycho from Texas will show up at your door!!

Anyhow, I'd be happy if you would stick around. You are very welcome here in my book. I always thought you did not like me! (If true, I prefer not to know. Thanks.)

Stay-ay-ay...just a little bit longer...
Please------say that you will

shar-

Where ever did you get the idea thatI did not like
you? Hope I've never slighted or offended you.

Me as your role model??? Flattered, but surely you
could do better. Thanks.

A psycho from Texas might be fun. Certainly more
interesting than what's happening here now.

Take care, & I DO like you!

# HB - Nobody has to do anything for me to get the idea they don't like me! Probably one day a butterfly flitted in Africa and there was a tornado in Kansas and I figured you didn't like me!

# OK - So you don't feel pressured, you are ONE of my role models, for striding forward through the hellish times, and getting things done.

Well,Shar has talked ME into staying here, too! I didn't plan on leaving, but she really boosted my shakey self as she posted such a rousing voice of cheer!

Anyway,HarryB,I'm sure happy that YOU are back and in great form, because I did miss you. What you did to and how you did it to that slow poke doctor has made me stand up and rally on the efforts of all who are downtrodden.....OUR HarryB is a role model!

Hi harry - Good job getting your psychiatrist to send in the forms you needed!

I'm sorry you're not feeling that great, I noticed you were missing from the board but I'd hoped that it was for good reasons. How could you ever feel unwanted around here? I always thought of you as one of the "in crowd".

What happened with the meds? Did you ever try Parnate?

Keep posting, I don't have any good advice but I am on your side. Oddzilla

goodsir hb-
clearly you demonstrated that hitting the rotten heartless and LAZY bastard in yon POCKETBOOK was the only way to get his attention. calling him an assWHOLE-which i sincerely hope you did LOUDLY and in front of the entire orifice-will hopefully cost the dirtbag a few patients. i applaud the STONES it took to take the course you chose. you give this schmuck far too much credit by calling him a "good" doc. your story alone kills ANY possibility of that being true. as to the legal end-i dunno if laziness is prosecuteable but BY ALL MEANS report him to the board of healing arts AND talk to your legalbeagle-you may have more legs to stand on than i'm aware of. been wondering why i aint heard from you-now i know. dealing with reprobate scumbags can ruin your day. drop me a line. i arent goon n'whar yet.

h-
got an interesting call today-from the INVESTIGATOR who's going to look into why the leviticously deuteronomous (no i dont know what it means either) dr. RUNTENSTEIN treated me like he did. the guy was FLOORED when he heard the story. i even asked the guy how he'd feel were it him that had been dissed/dropped w/o ANY notice and he said that he'd be LIVID. i, much to my own EXTREME surprise, didn't lose ANY SLEEP AT ALL over it. i just calmly took the next three or four steps and NEVER NOT ONCE got my jodphurs in a monkey's fist about it. for once i had a choice and i made the right one. in other words, i did a perfect FIDO. dr. RUNT reminds me of these really despicable neighbors i used to have to tolerate. eventually i figured out that NOTHING i could/would ever do to them was EVEN IN THE BALLPARK when compared to what they were doing to themselves. these loathsome bastards were STUCK with each other. moreso than that they were stuck with THEMSELVES!! and like your assWHOLE excuse for a doc-WHAT WORSE punishment is there than having to wake up as THAT SAME WORTHLESS, inescapable LUMP OF DUNG every day until he dies? i've come to the conclusion that most bastards do more to destroy themselves than any other ten people would even bother dreaming of doing to them.
FIDO, my friend-FIDO!! unfortunately since you didnt lose a limb or become addicted to cleaning products the worst he'll get from whatever governing body deals with these schmucks is a possibly permanent reprimand that ANY prospective patient will have FREE ACCESS to should they be aware that a "watchdog" organisation does indeed exist for thier information. they jus' gotta dial dat toll-free nummahh.
you're supposed to be laughing now. read it again and larf some mo!!
