Are there any doctors out there who can share their own
experience with depression and GAD? It would sure be
helpfull to this premed to here that I still have a
shot at medschool.

I was able to log on to it this morning but unable to since. I get a server down message. Maybe you can get on now or it will be back up later. Dr. Shipko had a long posting on his past and present problems and medical school, etc.

my pdoc told me his depression was so bad, that many times, it was only partially relieved by medication. He also mentioned that he had been depressed since 12 years old. One time I asked him how he got through medical school, and he replied that he felt so passionate about his studies and hoping to get himself better that studying was not difficult. Janice

She's not an MD, but her story might help: Kay Redfield Jamison, or Jamison Redfield, I always forget. She is a clinical psychologist.
