Have you ever tried Provigil? It might help with the sedation.

hey ed, just got home from another week of therapy

im on zyprexa 20 mg for 4 days now, my doc increased it

im also on TRANXENE 15 mg twice a day

the blinking is less but not gone...

i need your advice that i want to start taking lethicin 7500 mg and 15000 mg the second week, i purchased the gel capsules, each capsule contains 1200 mg of lecithin

is it safe to take letchin with zyprexa 20 mg, tranxene 15 mg

because the eye muscle cramp is less, maybe lethicin will make it worse?

my psy doc doesnt beleive in it, he only sais vitamine E works and tranxene

so is it safe? i really need your help on this...

cant discuss a normal conversation with my doctor,

Hi J!

>the blinking is less but not gone...

That's great :-)

>is it safe to take letchin with zyprexa 20 mg, tranxene 15 mg

I think so. You really need to ask Larry Hoover though! He's knows all about supplements :-)

>because the eye muscle cramp is less, maybe lethicin will make it worse?.....

I don't think it would.

Kind regards,
Ed.

i really am thinking bout the seroquel, i felt very good on it on 75 mg and took it once at night, i dont want 400 mg it will turn me into a zombie but on the other hand might repress my TD

should i go as high as 30 mg zyprexa for the blinking to go away?

i dont feel good on zyprexa then on the seroquel

........but you might not need as much as 400mg!

No, I wouldn't recommend it. If 20mg doesn't work well I think it would be better to return to Seroquel :-)

It might not do if you worked your way up gradually. Anyway, your blinking might be improved on a much lower dose :-)

Hi Jeroen, Glad to hear the blinking is better. I don't think the lecithin will make it worse either but Larry is the one to ask. And as always listen to Ed. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi J,

You are not out of options :-) I think you will be ok if you take the Seroquel twice daily. Now you are on Tranxene, you will have less anxiety :-)

Ed.

Zyprexa TRIAL

its been 2 week on 20 mg of zyprexa

my doc sais i need to be atleast 1 month on it for its effect

after that if zyprexa dont work for me i will ask for Seroquel

i felt ok already the first days on seroquel, zyprexa DOESNT

should i try the schizophrenia dosage of seroquel or low dose 100 mg?

ive read 400 mg of seroquel can mask TD, i know someone whos TD reversed at this dosage

please can you tell me what i should do?

Hi J!

>taking 400 mg will turn me into a zombie, i already tryed that.......

I know........but you suddenly took 400mg out of the blue! If you work your way up to a higher dose you might never get such bad side effects. Anyway, you might not need as much as 400mg :-)

>my doc sais i need to be atleast 1 month on it for its effect.......

OK, perhaps you should wait 2 more weeks on Zyprexa. If it doesn't help, you could ask for Seroquel.

>should i try the schizophrenia dosage of seroquel or low dose 100 mg?

Start at a low dose and gradually increase. When you reach a dose which is treating your symptoms with minimal side effects - stop increasing!

Kind regards,
Ed.

Hi J,

>i dont think my doctor wants to increase dosage by dosage, he will immediatelly build upto 400 mg so ill be a zombie........

You could tell him about how good you felt when you gradually built up the dose before. Also, you could tell him how bad you felt when you took 400mg without building up.

Anyway, even if your doc increases the dose rapidly, the drowsiness will probably reduce after a few weeks :-)

Kind regards,
Ed.

reverse TD with clozaril

Posted by Jeroen on June 12, 2005, at 10:42:07

In reply to Re: Zyprexa TRIAL » Jeroen, posted by ed_uk on June 12, 2005, at 7:54:08

There has never been a definitive, validated and widely accepted treatment for TD. Dozens of drugs have been tested over the past 30 years with mixed results at best. The atypical antipsychotic clozapine has been reported to reverse persistent TD after 6-12 months, possibly through gradual "down-regulation" of supersensitive dopamine D2 receptors. Some preliminary reports suggest that other atypical antipsychotics may also help reverse TD.
