They actually quieten things in my head, so I can hear what people are saying. It's scary not knowing what the long term effects of these meds are, but I don't feel I have an alternative.
Yes, i see patterns and "light shows" at times. sometimes though inanimate objects appear to be moving; usually away from me and out a window or door usually up at the ceiling level. It doesn't really scare me as it has happened periodically over the last 30 years, but it can be bothersome when it returns from a long absence. I feel much calmer since returning to Prozac and only take 20 mg a day so consider that to be more of a maintenance dose rather than therapeutic. But it seems to do the job for me so will just resign myself to lifelong use. Better than feeling mean and all out of sorts all the time ( : Stay well. Thanks for posting.
