Now, it's almost a week later and I'm still feeling the Effexor withdrawals. Anyone have any luck with alleviating them? The best way I can explain the feeling is imagine being hung over. I’ feeling nauseated, tired, dizzy, headache, etc. all at once.

Hi Dave.

Your symptoms are pretty classic for Effexor withdrawal. What drug are you taking now? If it is a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, it might help lessen the intensity of the symptoms you are experiencing. I don't know why your doctor didn't cross taper your medications, unless you were taking an MAOI.

You can try taking Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to help you get through the worst of it.

I hope you have a good vacation.
