I do have ADD, but I take it due to "excessive daytime sleepiness disorder." which is a mild for of narcolepsy.

I know i have the same problem, Why would anyone want to stop taking a medicine that makes you alive, and in my case my excessive daytime sleepyness comes from Librium, and Geodon, without adderall, I Eat, drink pop, and smoke ciggs like a fiend, anything to get a little stimulation. But unfortunalty there is no substitue for good ol' adderall. Tryed the XR, lied to the doc, said lasts too long and its not strong enough. Now im on such a high dose my reguar pharmacist questions me. There deffintly is a difference between regular adderall and XR. I actually functioned perfectly, not feeling like a coked up shakey *ss tweaker. No hard come down. Just a pinch of clinched jaw, as compared to tooth breaking pressure (and a head ache to go with that) and I actually took the XR one morning and Fell asleep. Now thats either my high tolleance, or proof of the differnce. Because there is no way, short of choral hydrate am i going to sleep after taking a 30mg tablet of amphetmines (OLD adderall) BUT on the other hand, Cristal clear thoughts, intentions, and motivations appear, it just all seems so easy. Shopping was once a horrible task, now i zip through the market finding everything, forgetting nothing, especially the prescriptions. Some would think that a stiulant would cause anxiety, but thats actually not the case for most with add- AdHd, because there anxiety is about the symtomps of add-adhd, hence eliminate the add-adhd and you have nothing to be anxious about, in fact self of steem goes up, along with confidence. But sadly this is all man made, comes in pill form, and is a schedule II, controlled substance. So unless you REALLLY and i mean REALLLY need this to make it from day to day, stay away, and if you do somewhat, 30mg of adderall XR is perfect. Just try to rember that is the max size in XR so if a smaller dose works, stick with it, you dont want to end up on, well basicly, SPEED, Cocaine, crack, whatever, 60-180mg of regular adderall is the same TRUST ME.
