i never knew of this band until my depression hit a few years ago and i somehow stumbled across them...
the triffid's remind me a bit of the brit band roxy music if you know of them.
the triffid's didn't make it here in the usa. bummer. i think many would have liked them. whoever wrote the lyrics for them sure was a sensitive type. i am assuming it was 'david' the one that passed away. he was my age. i read one of the members is now a high school teacher. i am curious if he plays for his students.
here is my fave triffid song;
'sleep no more...remember my name'...i think it this song by these guys also speaks to many here as you mentioned with your song above...
