mandate of heaven is the... ONLY thing that tempts to me to bootcamp. i mean... i won't do it. but... damn i miss that game.

there was a 3d version of pacman that came as part of the game bundle. i played it, for sure. double dragon was... an arcade fighting game... i played that a lot...

then...

i played a lot of tekken 3:

and then...

i got an x-box. because my friends had x-boxes. we used to team network halo. then halo 2. i found a couple other games i liked... but nothing came close to mandate of heaven. not even fable...

one game i've been sad of missing is elder scrolls... earlier versions of that. morrow-wind. not sure why but i never could get to play it without a hyper-sensitive mouse that would result in my swinging all about the place getting slaughtered by a mouse.

temple of elemental evil (proper d&d rules). those are the games i liked the most...

world of warcraft. ur... before the cataclysm. i think that is the thing to say. it really was... the best rpg ever... not for the social element (well perhaps because of the social element - never got into it myself). but the other aspects... decently different characters. good character development. good stuff. introduction / playing seamless. nice blend of questing and grinding. decent graphics, too (though that is not my main thing). i liked it, yeah. a little... too much.

surprisingly under-valued:

minions of mirth.

it is good.

i just got sim city. since it came out for mac. i feel ripped off... i didn't realize you needed to be online / logged into origin to play. resnet won't let me do that. i played it a little when i visited my friends in wellington and it has a bit of a scrolling issue... also... well... i read this book on city design and i was going to aim for an urban corridor rather than a noded city and... it didn't seem to let me. which was interesting... but car is the default mode of transport and... well... it is an american game lmfao. sim city 2000 had me for a while...

ur... what else... tetris. of course. i quite like cradle of rome - but i haven't purchased the full version. did get bejewelled - but i'm over it. upset chuzzle won't play on a map - curiously addictive... needs to be played with the sound turned up... over the sims... mostly... just got civilisation V after spending so much time with freeciv... mostly over it...

need a new fix. don't know what.

oh... got 'the witcher'. sucks. great graphics. sucky game play. oh... i miss heroes...

got diablo... 2? got it cheap before the last one came out. i like the randomly generated dungeon aspect. a lot like nethack... which i sort of got into for a while... but not as addictive as heroes... the latest diablo requires internet access again...

internet access is still expensive in this part of the world. typically... i don't pay for it with university but they are clear about 'games are not supported'. usually there are computer science people with their... ur... sharing of stuffs... but the halls of residence here were focused on first years only (for the most part) and they have only just (only just now! moved to longer term focus) so... i don't know that that is the case here / that that will be part of the culture here.
