My long weekend was nice. I went to Montreal and went to a beer festival near there with a couple of friends from my game. There are some really great people in this game!
In terms of work, I'm still in my HR position. Some of the applicants applying for minimum wage jobs have advanced degrees. A lot have a tons of experience but if they don't have experience working in the Western world, most places won't give them a chance...so they end up applying to work for us.
The sad thing is that due to the nature of the work, these people are not competitive enough to actually get hours at the minimum wage job we provide.
Average wages through the decades have not moved up. It's a sad state of affairs.
