Seems like a good deal for like $300-400. Buying a laptop would have just given you less machine for more money. That back thing is something we all have to be concerned about. Only thing I could advise you to do additionally is get your 24 month or 12 month subscription to Norton or McAfee or whichever security program they advise for it - it'll cost you less in the long run.

There's lots of web-based mail services you can use but Windows Live is good. As long as you can add whatever accounts you want from your old service. Best thing about not running Outlook or something like Thunderbird is that you don't have to worry about your mail becoming corrupted. They're also pretty good filtering out spam. I have seen viruses attack online services like the old Hotmail but they're getting better at killing them.


C-PTSD: social phobia, major depression, dissociation.
Currently: 500mg amitriptyline single dose at night.
Also: Allegra, 1000mg Vitamin C.
Slowly improving.
