We were just telling my (incredulous) son about stores closing on Sunday! And how frustrating it was, because Sunday was a big day for puttering around the house.
Perhaps the Blue Laws were lifted on a state by state basis?
I remember spending the night with several other friends at a house where they had cable. I stayed up all night watching nothing in particular, just because something was actually on!
Sigh. I remember you had to pretty much like whatever was on, because there was no choice. When I was very young, I lived with my grandma. Only one station came through the mountains with any real clarity and a minimum of static. My favorite show was Gigantor. I look at Gigantor today and find that hard to believe. But it was there, I guess.
