I haven't yet needed distance glasses and I haven't yet reached the age where I put glasses on and find I already have glasses on, but I am at the point where I have reading glasses in every room in the house. That way I'm not constantly searching for my glasses. I can't read a thing without glasses. I am also noticing that my seven or eight pairs of 1.75 mg glasses may need to be upgraded to 2.25 mg. My eyes get weaker and weaker. Getting old sucks.
