reality bites

Posted by Christ_empowered on April 1, 2011, at 17:24:58

Honestly, I kind of miss being self-absorbed, crazy, coddled, and young and immature.

My illness+immaturity cost me a lot. I'm now looking to go back to school (I'm 26), and I don't know where to begin. Its looking like I'll be going into a health care program (health informatics) at the associate's level.

I'm lucky; I have parents who support me, financially and emotionally, I'm developing a social life, and I have a value system that has given my life meaning and direction.

Still: reality bites. I missed out on so much, and now that I'm "better" (read: no longer wildly crazed and insufferably immature), I realize that i have a whole lot of catching up to do.
