It is much harder in that case. I was lucky with my mother. We'd had endless problems but she reached out to me and said sorry, and it was so easy for me, easier than it was for my brothers and sisters. We had 3 good years as she died. But nothing is more beautiful to me than a change of heart and the pressure of impending death may cause things to arise unpredictably.
