I've had a Poang chair since 1984 with an ottoman and it continues to be my favourite reading chair, and for generally curling up with my cat and a cup of tea. I just find it puts me in a calmer frame of mind, I guess because I associate pleasant activities (or non activities) with it. It's put up with being moved umpteem times and always fits in with my decor no matter how I change it.
Obviously I'm biased :-)
