Today I am pissed.
I've always appreciated my insurance company. The plan is decent and coverage is ok for the most part.
But looking through my claims, I saw that my mental health benefits now have a $30 copay for each visit. It used to be no copay.
Since I see my T every week, that could add up pretty fast.
But what ticked me off is there was a glitch in the system and it didn't charge me the $30 dollars since January. Meaning I'll have to pay back from January until now all those $30 copays.
I hadn't anticipated this additional expense and was not notified about it through my insurance or my benefits department.
I don't even want to add up what the amount is that I'll have to pay back. And now am afraid I'll have to stop or reduce my therapy sessions because I can't afford that every week.
