> I don't think they do. I wasn't smart enough to ask that, though. I already have my non-refundable plane ticket, so that's that I guess. I just hope they'll have some new ideas. But, between my doc, my research, and the med board, no one can think of anything, so I'm becoming more and more pessimistic!

Dr. Ketter is really good with using mood stabilizers in treatment resistant bipolar disorder. I am not familiar with Dr. Wang.

What happens when you combine Parnate, lithium, and Lamictal?

I can understand your pessimism. I am pretty much in the same position that you are. My doctor has temporarily run out of ideas for drug treatments, and so have I. I am adding Effexor this week. My resulting treatment regime will be:

Effexor 300mg
nortriptyline 150mg
Lamictal 150mg
Abilify 10mg

Depending on how I respond, I might revisit a few other drugs that did not help when used in other combinations. Also, there is rTMS. Don't forget to ask Dr. Ketter about it. He might still be in contact with Dr. Mark George. They worked together in the 1990s at the NIMH, NIH while I was a research patient there. Dr. George is one of the early investigators of rTMS.

Good luck with your consultation.
