new spuds are in season now. well just comming to an end actually,they can come from the island of jersey or ingl;and ,the bit you missed ot is they dont have a tough skin you dont have to peel them. just wash a eat, fish an chips are loads better with new spuds as we brits call them,in the fish an chip shop,s they should be cooked in beef dripping an lard , not your ponssy oil , that way the fish an the chips have that loverly chestnut coulor an the bater on the fish is crispy ////////OLD inglish chip shop joke, there was a fight in the shop, a fish got battered by someone with a chip on his shoulder,
