Hydroquinone - anyone have any experienc using it?

I found a product with 2% hydroquinone for about 4 bucks. I've always wanted to try to get rid of all the freckles/sun spots on my face. I have very pale skin with some splotchy freckles. I've always wished I had clear smooth skin. Has anyone ever tried this product?
