I only mastered matches because I became addicted to cigarettes. And if I'd known about those 8" long stick matches (are those fireplace matches?) then I'm sure I never would have used anything else. It's totally insane to deliberately ignite something that close to your fingers, right?
Congratulations on the soldering. The idea of doing that still makes me nervous so I'm very impressed.
