Thanks Kath! Well, I had a bad day yesterday. I went and filled out the application, and then on the way home I got lost! And I stayed lost for 4 HOURS! It was terrible! What made it worse was twice I was fairly close to home, but I turned the wrong way and ended up far away again. It didn't help that half way through it got dark, which made it hard to recognize where I was. I didn't think I would EVER get home!

I have a tendency to get lost, but it was worse because I was going through an area I'm not familiar with. Where I now live is on the other side of the next city over from where my family is and where I've lived most of my adult life. I really just know how to get from here to there. I have traveled to a few places in between, mostly to interviews here lately, but I've always had specific directions. So when I tried to go from where my new apartment is to where I am now, I was using highways I wasn't used to, and once I got off track, I just couldn't seem to get to an area I knew again! That part took up half the time, then when I got to the general area of where I now live, I just kept going the wrong way down familiar streets! And these streets go on FOREVER! At one point I came to the street I actually live on, and it was at the 17000 block (I live on the 8000 block), so I turned in the direction that the numbers were going down. But apparently somewhere along the line they change direction, because after traveling for a really long time, I realized I was in a part of town that was south of where I needed to be, and I was going south. By then I had been in my car about 3 and a half hours, but at least then I knew which way to go. Luckily I saw the sign for the highway a few blocks away, which runs parallel to the street I was on. So I was able to get on the highway going the right direction and get home.

My Mom asked me why I didn't ask for directions, but it always seemed like I was almost there, and then I wasn't. And during the first half of the trip the area was too scary to stop. During the second half I was sometimes in very secluded areas. It was just all very upsetting and confusing, and I was having some serious anxiety issues. But I stayed in and rested today, so I feel much better.

As far as the meds, yes it is money issues as well as insurance issues. I will have insurance by the 1st of April. I had been trying St. John's Wort, but I'm pretty sure that's what was causing the itching and the hives I had that one day! It wasn't as bad after that day, but I was still itching a lot every day. I stopped taking it this weekend, and the itching stopped. I always have some itching because of a skin condition I have, but this was way worse. After the first day I no longer had hives, but I would still scratch until I broke the skin. So I guess that's out. I plan to get back on the good ole Prozac/Xanax combo as soon as I can, and then maybe I'll try the Strattera (for ADD) again. I'm hesitant about the Strattera because it made me very nausous (I can never spell that word right) for the first few weeks, but afterwards I found I could think so much more clearly. I felt like I could express myself like I do when I'm writing, but without having to go back and reword things over and over so they sound right. I have to do that on everything I write.

Anyway, I'm getting ready for bed now, I have a brand new week of work ahead of me. I think by the time I get back on my meds I will have gotten past the worst part of the learning curve at work, so things should do nothing but go up from there. For now I just have to try really hard to concentrate on my work and keep a reign on my emotions. Things seem to be going fairly well, but I'll be happy when I'm past all this. Thanks for the support everybody!
