Do kitchen scissors count? I love to open all plastic food packages with scissors instead of trying to rip them. I'm the same at work-- I'll walk down the hall to find scissors before I'll tear open a potato chip bag.
I love my letter opener, it has a plastic hook that catches the edge and a protected sharp blade.
I'm a big fan of seam-rippers. They're the same principle as the letter opener I guess.
And I like a pocket knife for opening packages.
I guess I'm just particular about cutting tools :)
Oh, I also love crochet hooks, especially the antique tiny ones. And those embroidery scissors that look like a crane with a long beak for the blades.
