You are VERY proactive & it's gotta pay off eventually.
I'm sorry you're having to ask your Mom for help. I hear ya that it feels uncomfortable.
I am, as you know, a Mom. :-)
I LOVE being able to help my daughter. She tries her best & is very responsible & does not ask unless she really really needs help. I love it when she does reach out.
Please try to 'internalize' what your Mom said to you about you always being there for your family. And also, sometimes it feels really good to be able to give to a person who has done a lot of good. Sounds like this is one of those times when your Mom is getting a chance to give back the good that you've done for your family!
I hope there's a part of you that can accept that. I understand that you want to be independent & be able to stand on your own. That will happen, I'm sure.
I am really impressed with your proactiveness & with the way you bounce back when you get dealt a rough 'hand'.
