This is such a delight! But if you look at some of the other videos of elephants painting, they are all producing the same view of an elephant, and the same kind of flower. At times, you can see a human hand or arm nudging the trunk. After each change of paintbrush, they are fed a treat. But even with these aids, what they can do is remarkable. There IS one video of an elephant painting which looks more real. You can see that his trunk is not being guided. He is sloshing paint onto an easel, missing the paper and painting the easel itself some of the time. The painting itself is a mix of many lines- in different colors chosen by his handler- the kind of painting children do when they are younger than two.
