Yeah, Misery is a good one. I've always thought of that as the one SK book that had no supernatural aspect to it. It was just pure psycho-ness!!! And I know what you mean about it being like home life. Although home life for me was never 'quite' that bad, there were some times that were at least equal to the craziness!!!! I guess sometimes you have to laugh about it in order to keep from crying. I know that feeling too! I hope you are able to get into a better living situation asap. Moving out, even into pure poverty, was better than the abuse I put up with. Try your best to get away from the negativity in your life, it will make a world of difference! I understand how hard it is though.
