I'm impressed. You were upset at what happened, but you figured out what was wrong and fixed it as best you could. I notice you've also recently responded to feedback about how people feel about not getting responses to their posts by trying to respond to each one individually.
I can identify with not understanding the social cues and feeling like an outsider. But there's only one way to learn. It seems like you're doing that.
Well, there is another way too. I've heard that there are classes that teach social skills. If you live in a big city or a university town, it might be possible to find classes like that. I'm not entirely sure how to go about finding them since I've been unsuccessful in my search. But I sure would like to try.
I also noticed the change from your first post to your second in the way you're talking to yourself about the event. My therapist always says stuff like there are two parts of what happen to you. There's the actual event, then there's what you say to yourself about the event. It just isn't all that useful to react to an event by remembering all the bad things that have happened or by beating ourselves up over what we've done. It works so much better when you did what you did in the end. You found out the reason and did what you could to correct it.
