I was rudely awakened at 9:45 am, then forced to take shower shortly after waking, then packed into the car to go to panera bread. then I toom a 1.5 hour nap. still have heavy legs. exhausted. then I went to a concert and made a complete *ss out of myself telling this old couple to try to keep the conversation to a minimum. they weren't even the ones talking, cause the man was british. what a dumbo I am. an exhausted, sedated, dumbo.
there's always herbal tea. and more packing. been packing for 2 weeks now. and then there's unpacking. and cleaning.
The light at the end of the tunnel is that I get to organize my new "safe space" and I will buy a buddha and a nice candle and use my pretty teacup to sip my way to safe happy daydreams.
And did I mention that I'm REALLY looking forward to waxing my bed? I have this solid cherry 4 poster bed heirloom that is absolutely gorgeous. Assuming that it survives the move, I'm going to wax all the surfaces with paste wax and buff until it's so slippery that running one's hand over the headboard is a sensual experience akin to ... oh never mind. It's just really satisfying. Did I mention I'm a big fan of fine woodworking? Dovetails, joinery, the smell of freshly planed hardwoods.... sigh...
