I think My Husband Just Tried to Drown me!!!!!

I was walking into the kitchen with a glass of water and water in my mouth and my husband who never makes me laugh said something funny. He almost drowned me as I laughed and the water in my mouth got sucked into my lungs . I was spitting and gasping for air forever til I got it all out. Is he liable for trying to kill me?
