I thought that was only antiperspirants? I can't use those because I get swellings.

Maybe it is a climate sort of thing. Down here, sweat smells in places that no one ever thought of deodorizing. Not only do we sweat more in the heat, but I'm guessing smell causing microorganisms thrive in the semitropical environment as well.

Daily baths are a must. Clothes have to go through the washer a few times in the summer. And I can't even imagine what would happen if people let their natural bodily odors run free. I suspect plants would wilt and dogs would run away from home.

And I go sleeveless at least nine months a year.

Isn't it great how kids don't stink when they're very young? I wonder what the purpose is of putting smells in sweat at adolescence.

And how about the atropine odor of fear sweat? What's the purpose of that? It would seem that it would be a distinct evolutionary disadvantage since the sabertooth tiger could easily find you from your odor. Or maybe it's like skunks. The sabertooth tiger would sniff and go after more appealing fare.
