No.
And I've got issues with closing remarks such as 'but who cares anyway.' I was around far too much of that stuff when I grew up. I feel manipulated when I hear/read something like that, like the opportunity to simply and spontaneously be supportive or empathetic has been stolen away, before I even had a chance to respond. I did try to be supportive, coming from where I am now. It may be my baggage, but there you have it.
