Hi Michael, I think you have something there.
Recently, sparked by a post from Larry, I've been trying to be 'mindful' of myself.
I looked at a 'mindfulness' link Larry had posted. It was great - talking about being aware of our in-breath & then our out-breath.
Lately when I feel anxious - if I remember - I will sort of look at my thoughts & the feelings in my body. I will breathe in & mentally say "breathing in" then breathe out & mentally say "breathing out" slowly a few times & try to let go of the thoughts & only BE: ME, breathing in and out. To know that that IS me....the other feelings are sort of created by my thoughts.
It helps me to not feel panicky & it helps me to calm down.
Hope you try it Deneb. It can be very hard but in actual fact it is totally a SIMPLE thing to do.
