Your friends are entitled to their points of view, but in the end, only you know how you feel. Maybe tell your friends that you appreciate their views, and that being off meds and looking to God may work for some people, but right now you need the meds but are happy to use prayer for 'extra help'. Dont be too hard on yourself, take your time...
