I have always been a poor student and managed to travel.you can see if you can get a position within your company to do some training abroad, or attend a trade show or a conference.
I bet you can find a way to save up 200 for the next couple of months. You can definitely do a cool road trip on a few hundred dollars. Find Campgrounds or fly for cheap to a big city and stay in a youth hostel (yes, there are actually youth hostels in the USA!!)
Take a look on travel websites for "last-minute deals".
If you can negotiate a long weekend, and you have a passport, you can often find fantastic package deals for a couple of nights and a flight starting from only a few hundred dollars to Europe.
Remember, you can always make money, but you can't make time ;o)
