helping others vs. helping ourselves?

Posted by LJRen on December 23, 2006, at 13:39:00

Why is it easier to help others than it is ourselves? I'll read posts on this board and have some really good insights I think, but when it comes to my own life I can't see for sh*t. It's like we offer advice to folks for the same problems we have but we don't have enough sense to take our own advice. I say we but I really mean just me. Intellectually, I'm smart as a whip, but emotionally, I'm dumb as a post.

Any thoughts?
Ren
