(((Maddie))),

I'm sorry you're feeling so disappointed.

I'm probably the last person who should talk about being able to cry, but just recently, I've been doing it a lot. My T is trying to convince me that crying is okay sometimes and I don't necessarily have to stop it or figure out why I'm crying "over nothing". (My words for my situation.)

You were looking forward to something that was going to be a very nice time for you. It was a special opportunity and your disappointment is justified. Although it's hard and sucks, maybe you could just let yourself feel the disappointment even if it does make you cry. Maybe it will help to let some of it out?

Like I said, I'm not sure I should be talking about this topic, but I'm trying to learn myself. My T wonders if I could just let myself "be" with my feelings. I'm trying it in baby steps, I guess.

I'm sorry you're so sad.

Lots of hugs,
Laurie
