uasually my mother does the whole thanksgiving thing (thanksgiving's 'our' holiday because my family loves to eat and cook) but this year my sister and i are cooking it here. guest list is small, just my motehr, maybe a few friends, some cousins, an aunt and lots of kids. most people will jsut stop by to eat leftovers after visiting other family members. i've always had huge thanksgivings because my father had a few spouses prior to my mother, resulting in lots of daughters (and it's a curse having so many beautiful sisters.) so, usually two other sisters stop by. one i'm certain will be here, the other is unpredictable. a few years back, we rented a banquet hall and had a big 50th (god, i thought i was old!) party for my mom (her day is nov 25, so sometimes it falls on turkeyday.)

so, i'm sure you're tired of hearing about what my family does. i'm all about holidays, so i'm glad i'm cooking on my son's first thanksgiving.
