I shall convey your regards to my SigO, who observes these holidays.
He was faint, overcome with weakness, etc all day yesterday, so much so that he observed his annual retreat to the bedroom, so as to conserve energy after having missed breakfast and lunch.
His complexion became pallid and his breath shallow, his pulse weak. I was about to call the physician, when he rose from the pillows, and betook himself to the nearest Synagogue.
Luckily, in due time, he was revived by the also-annual dinner of lox and bagel with cream cheese--and a few other delicacies-- all of which could be consumed without any of the usual concern about the effects on his avoirdupois. He has by now regained all of his previous health and good humor (well-- at least health).
