I like to think of Dr. Bob as a real person who is kind of quirky. I think his photography is really interesting, because it shows off his quirkier side in a way that he probably cannot express in other ways as this site's administrator.
I think that's an interesting hypothesis, Deneb*. He does look a little bit too happy to be sneezing, now that you mention it. It looks a lot like he took the picture using iSight camera, attached to his computer. Funny thing is, that he looks happy. He must have taken it when he was doing some happy computer work, like making babble-chat run smoothly, or something like that.
