new job is fantastic.. (its a project management job around hiring a specific type of support worker.. all around the recovery "model", and I have been employed to try and convince managers to be hiring more people with "live experience" of mental illness into these posts. its al around this document if yo're really bored and want a read!! http://www.dh.gov.uk/assetRoot/04/01/94/56/04019456.pdf )
So, I'm still out there, shouting loudly for service user rights and the like.. good employment and renumeration is one of my big things at the moment.. as well as having got very into the whole idea of "recovery", and so have just trained as a trainer to teach recovery ideas!
The presentation will be around acceptance, even of the "norm" *grins* And how using labels can be negative (this is hard to explain on here!) I'll email you privately about this one I think *laughing* But, probably not till monday as next few days get busier and busier! (Mum is up hospital visiting Arthur at moment so I have a few minutes of calm!)
