I'm really excited about the trip.
My friend just called and she's worried that the car may not have enough room for all our stuff. Yikes!
She told me to leave out the winter jacket and that 13°C (what the night low is) isn't really that cold....YA RIGHT!
13°C is very cold when you're staying out there in the elements! She's never been camping, she doesn't know how cold a summer night can be. She's not taking her jacket.
I've switched my down jacket for a less bulky thick fleece jacket, which might be better anyways because down loses it's insulative properties when wet and fleece doesn't as much.
I packed a fleece blanket as well. When my friend gets cold I'll let her use my blanket. She also didn't pack a sleeping mat. Sleeping bag ratings take assume the use of a sleeping mat, otherwise it gets pretty cold in a bag. I just hope she won't get hypothermic. I would rather pack fewer T-shirts and less food than forgo the jacket.
