Okay, I know I'm a snailer mailer! I'm sorry!
IRL came at me w/ a new grandson (yippee!) and another ex-husband flew in with more of 'my emotional baggage' and, well, it just keeps coming! I can barely find respite in my corner!
The thing that was so funky about the colorectal appt is that I wasn't asked to, ya' know, undress from the waist down and put on a gown or anything.
He just came in and we were talking. I thought that was all we were going to do.
Then he said, "Well I can look at your butt right now and see", and I just couldn't stop myself from blurting out "No! Can't you figure out some radiographic imaging way of looking at my butt?!"
It was the face2face conversation that was going to go straight to face2butt that was so embarea*sing and freaked me out!
I think they should make a big square paper drape (like a ghost costume) that you could just put over your head, that would have a hole cut out for your butt!
I don't want to look at him (I'd rather look at the wall!) or talk to him when he's looking at my butt!
I had to ask him to repeat himself about 'the tests he was going to run' over and over, as the emotional trauma rendered me somewhat semi-buttconscious! He'd say something and then I'd slowly verbalize it right back to him like I was understanding it as I said it, but still w/ an inquisitive look on my face. Then I'd nod like I understood (It was an out-of-body experience by this time!), butt then I'd turn right around and ask him if he could repeat that one more time! LOL It was terrorbuttization! LOL
I don't think he'll forget my face, that's for sure. He probably doesn't even want to see my butt now!
He sort of took me by the shoulders and guided me towards this lady, 'the scheduler', who seemed to have been pre-alerted that I was 'in a state'. She said, "Just go do this, and we'll talk to you after that."
I'm taking a support person w/ me next time!
I'll have to talk w/ Phillipa about being less butt-conscious. Butt my sister's a nurse and she says that sometimes when you're under anesthesia, they laugh at your butt and stuff!
