How can you learn to dance?

I want to learn to dance. Not ballroom or salsa or anything, but the type that is done to pop/techno music (club dancing?).
Are there lessons for this sort of thing? None of my friends dance so I'm kind of going this alone. I don't want to get on the floor without a clue.
