Also I have reluctance in replying to some posts where my input won't really contribute anything except support. I'd rather have something helpful to say, especially when someone is looking for understanding.This happens a lot... or if I want to offer support, I daren't because I might not know the other poster all that feel and fear being intrusive... it becomes a vicious cycle at that point.

I try that too. Makes me nervous sometimes, because on a board where I posted for a good five years, I always tended to stumble badly on my first post-break posts and elicit negative attention... not the best encouragement there! I can't imagine anything of that nature (at least to any serious degree) happening at Babble, but it still makes me gunshy about the whole thing.
