Apparently it's the idea of what could you do with the extra hour you get by not having to cook dinner - and this guy sings with his hands and has a generally foolish good time.
There's another one where they guy starts to dance around his kitchen. You see an awful lot of those kinds of ads. Alway guys dancing, never women unless they aren't being goofy. Or dancing like Elaine.
