You've got a very fortunate daughter.
Years back, I inherited my aunt's old cookware, when she inherited my grandmother's (and great-grandmother's) Revere. Then, last year, my aunt decided she didn't like having to care for the copper bottoms, so my husband and I paid half the price for her to get a set of Circulon, and we got the Revere.
I feel closer to my long-dead grandmother every Sunday morning, when I make palascintas for Sunday breakfast, in the same pan my grandmother used when she made them for us on Sundays. And I think I'm making them better now, too.
And I didn't get the vacuum cleaner then. I did get it later, but had to buy it myself...
